ABOUT THE BRAND

Justin Chao grew up enjoying delicious Chinese cooking in the Los Angeles suburbs, picking up flavors and techniques as a fourth-generation American. After perfecting his skills in traditional patisserie in Paris, where he trained under Jacques Genin, he was inspired to dive back into the flavors he grew up with. In 2015, Chao launched Le Bon Garcon, driven by his love for creating amazing caramels and celebrating the simple pleasures of life.

ABOUT THE GORGEOUS PACKAGING
Le Bon Garçon’s packaging draws inspiration from Justin’s Popo’s 1950s Chinese porcelain collection. To pair the caramels with artwork that reflects the same artisanal spirit, Justin teamed up with artist Rob Sato to create vivid watercolor designs based on those classic patterns. Each batch is wrapped with the charm of an heirloom and meant to be shared.
