Kumquat Shrub


Thanks to tart-sweet nagami kumquats, our Kumquat Fruit-Infused Vinegar packs a serious flavor punch. The sweet smelling, fragrant, aromatic peels of ripe kumquats -- combined with the tart, flavorful, juicy pulp -- perfectly translate in this fruit-infused vinegar shrub.

We love to use our Kumquat flavor in vinaigrettes, salad dressings and marinades for veggies, meat and fish. It also makes a great addition to a homemade cocktail with tequila or mezcal, for anyone looking for an extra kick of citrus.

This season we’ve sourced our kumquats from our good friends at The Ecology Center. Even with only one kumquat tree on the farm property, there’s a bounty and abundance of fruit to be picked and harvested by hand. We’ve known and worked with The Ecology Center for as long as we’ve been in business, and we can’t stay away. They grow some of the best citrus we’ve ever tasted (thanks to the great people, place, and farming practices).
