Mortar Bowls in Black

These mortars are made by Motoshige, a small potter in Japan that specializes in ceramic mortars are the perfect for crushing nuts, spices, making dresses, even guacamole.

They are large enough you can use it as a traditional mortar and then add ingredients to make your favorite dressings and sauces.  There is a pouring spout so after you are done the bowls are pretty enough to use it for serving.

The small grooves make is ideal for grinding, but they are glazed so not to leave an odor.

Made in Shimame,Japan by Motoshige, which was established back in 1925 and is known to produce high quality mortars and graters.

They are complete with a silicon bottom so when you are crushing it your bowl stays in place.  Don't get the bottom wet though, silicone slips when wet.

Three different sizes to suit your preference or they are functional and lovely stacked.

Measurements:
Small – 2.4" x 4.3"⌀

Medium – 3.1" x 5.7"⌀
Large – 3.9" x 7.1"⌀

Microwave and Dishwasher safe

Clean after using, not for storing ingredients

Dry completely before storing.

Wood Surikogi stick sold separately, for a complete set. Sizes correspond with mortar sizes.
