Rug Fabric Bag

$72.00

A bag made by cutting excess portions of rug scrap. In the 19th century, travel bags made with oriental rugs became popular in Europe and America, and they were called carpet bags. It is said that rugs were used as a material because leftover cloth could be obtained cheaply, but they could be used to store travel luggage and at the same time keep warm in unheated vehicles, killing two birds with one stone.

The material selected is colorful and ornate, making these bags a nice accent for everyday items traveling around with you.
