Vintage Sling Belt Bag
Inspired by a well-worn library bag discovered at a flea market in Brooklyn, this sturdy tote carries a little piece of history with it. The original bag had clearly been loved and used for years, with holes and signs of wear that only made it more beautiful. Its simple, durable design was made for carrying books — and that same utilitarian spirit lives on in this updated version.
Puebco searched across three cities in India to find a canvas strong enough to recreate the original. They discovered a heavy-duty canvas traditionally used for truck canopies, chosen for its durability and ability to develop even more character with use.
Each bag is handmade from recycled canvas and laminated to reinforce the fabric while preserving its raw, vintage feel. The sturdy handles are made from upcycled cargo belt straps sourced in India and dyed in assorted colors.
Designed to be used and loved, this is the kind of bag that only gets better with age. Developing its own marks, softness and character as it becomes part of your everyday life.
